Two years after the Miss Beloit Pageant, Stephanie Klett went on to win the title of Miss Wisconsin.  She competed in the Miss America Pageant as the first cornet player in Miss America history, winning the Bert Parks talent award.  She created the ATTITUDE ON AIDS program and Spotlight on Wisconsin, a registered 501©3 non-profit corporation that raises money for the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Beloit Regional Hospice and the Boys & Girls Clubs. She was featured on Good Morning America and later took the program to Cuba, Thailand and Hong Kong.  Stephanie has been a keynote speaker at the Hollywood Hope AIDS service, as well as speaking to high schools and middle schools throughout Wisconsin. She was awarded two Governor’s commendations.  She was the host of Discover Wisconsin Television and Radio Series from 1993 to 2010 with 6 Emmy nominations.  She was Managing Director for the Discover Wisconsin Media Network and a weekly guest on the Fox 6 Wake-Up News in Milwaukee.  Stephanie was inducted into the Beloit Memorial High School Hall of Fame in 2003 and featured in an issue of FourPoints Magazine.  She is single and blames it on her nine brothers.

Update March 2011

After 6-Emmy nominations, Stephanie Klett brought the golden statue back to Wisconsin in November 2010 for the category of “Individual Excellence for On-Camera Hosting.” For 17 years Stephanie Klett criss-crossed the state, logging over one million miles as host of the Discover Wisconsin Television and Radio Series. She was also the company’s Managing Director, writer, researcher and producer. This year Klett began a new adventure and career when Governor Scott Walker appointed her to his cabinet to serve as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. Stephanie still proudly calls Beloit home.
