Danissa Shultz Klintworth
Miss Beloit 2001

After her year as Miss Beloit, Danissa (Shultz) Klintworth attended college at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.  She graduated in 2005, magna cum laude with a degree in English, Vocal Music, and her teacher’s certification in English and returned to Beloit in order to serve the community that gave her a start along her path to success. She was hired to teach English at Beloit Memorial High School in 2005.  At the high school, she is presently serving as English department chair and Leo Club advisor and loving every minute of it.  Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, Danissa helped chaperone a group of 40 students who journeyed to New Orleans to help with clean up efforts.  She has had travel opportunities including trips to British Columbia, Honduras–with another student group, Costa Rica and Jamaica.  From time to time, Danissa can also been seen participating in community theater; she has been in several shows for Beloit Civic Theatre since her return to Beloit.  She married her husband, Cody, in 2007 and they are looking forward to continuing to live and work in Beloit.  Danissa would like to wish all of the contestants good luck and would like to thank all of the dedicated volunteers who have worked so hard over the years to make this wonderful opportunity possible.

Update March 2011

The highlight of this past year is the birth of my son Canaan on December 2.  My husband and I are greatly enjoying the new adventure of being parents.  A child is such a life changing and beautiful experience.  In addition to my new role as a mother, I am entering my sixth year as an English teacher at  Beloit Memorial High School.  I am also taking a short hiatus from community theatre.
